Bravo Sport Flyers History

RC modelers that were enthusiastic about flying started this club in 1987. Since that time the club has continued to improve the facilities making it more enjoyable and safe for all club members.

The runway has been resurfaced, a metal fence has been erected around our area, taxiways have been established and paved, a steel cover has been erected to provide weather protection in the pit area, and the entire pit area has been concreted. We also have access to a water source for those that have float planes or boats. Work benches and starting stands have been installed and a wood burning outdoor fire place has been provided to keep our more dedicated winter fliers warm while they wait for the fog to clear. The majority of the materials and manpower to make these improvements have been provided by club members work, donations and our treasury.

Our club is a member of the Academy of Model Aviation (AMA) as are all of our members. The AMA provides our club with information about our hobby, guidelines for operation, and a voice for all of us to promote model aviation through various levels of government and insurance protection in the event of injury or property damage caused by our operations.
